Does your business idea solve a real problem?
UIC Discover is a digital program for you who have a new business idea and want to see if it works in real life – for example by talking to customers, building a prototype or testing the market – whether you are a student, researcher, innovator or entrepreneur.
The program is mainly digital and aims to help you understand your target audience and build a foundation for a future company.
It is delivered primarily online through the platform Planvas, with recorded videos, assignments to complete between sessions, and support from an experienced business coach who follows your development.
From idea to customer
UIC Discover is a flexible and free-of-charge program that helps you test and develop your business idea. The program is based on the Lean Startup methodology and the Customer Development process, where you work step by step to understand customer needs and shape your idea based on market demand.
You will be guided through the content via digital sessions and self-study assignments, using the Lean Canvas as a practical tool to structure and test your idea.
At the end of the program, you’ll have a closing session with your coach to plan your next steps and discuss future goals.
Gain network, expertise & feedback
Gain access to UIC’s broad partner network with experts in areas such as legal, IP, finance, marketing, and product development. You will have the opportunity to participate in guest lectures, workshops and events arranged by UIC, providing inspiration, knowledge and a chance to grow your network.
You will also have the opportunity to sign up for a pitching session, where you get to pitch your idea in front of panel consisting of UIC partners who will provide you with hands-on feedback.

Requirements
No prior experience is needed – only an innovative business idea that you want to develop and validate.
