MyCural Therapeutics is a promising company working on what could be a groundbreaking solution in cancer research.
“We’re developing molecules that bind to a protein that has long been considered untreatable in cancer research. But we’ve found a solution, and we hope to enter clinical trials by 2027. It could be a huge breakthrough and save many lives,” says Mia.

The company is now looking for additional investors—and interest is high. MyCural has received strong support from UIC – Uppsala Innovation Centre throughout their journey, including business coaching and soft funding. UIC, together with real estate company Vasakronan, is the driving force behind Innovation Stable, aiming to make everyday life easier for Uppsala-based startups.
“Without UIC, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Having access to mentors and a great working environment like this has been incredibly valuable. It’s an outstanding support system,” Mia adds.

Originally from Germany, Johannes stayed in Uppsala after his studies. He also highlights the value of the co-working environment.
“Having an office to go to makes a big difference. Running your own company can be lonely, and I didn’t want to work from home. Here, I meet driven people and there’s a lot of valuable exchange. Sometimes we chat and I realize how AI could help in their business—this kind of environment sparks a lot of great ideas.”
