The winner of this spring’s digital startup competition and UIC Demo Day is developing a platform to support home cooks across the globe. UIC Demo Day is organized by Uppsala Innovation Centre (UIC), the business incubator for Uppsala County, and aims to give startups a chance to showcase their business ideas. Visitors are invited to meet the entrepreneurs, watch their pitches, and vote for their favorite company.
The final pitch competition took place yesterday, and Doodel HomeFoods, founded by Pranay Mogathal Ramachandra, received the most votes.

After an intense digital voting period and a high-energy live pitch event at Hubben in Uppsala Science Park, it was clear that Doodel HomeFoods had made the biggest impression on the audience and was crowned the winner of UIC Demo Day Spring 2025.
– Winning feels incredible – but more than anything, it’s a responsibility. This is a sign that we’re on the right path and a promise to keep learning, growing, and honoring the trust placed in us, says Pranay Mogathal Ramachandra, founder of Doodel HomeFoods.
“The best part about UIC has been the mentors, the learning, and the pace – it’s kept me focused and constantly evolving.“
The audience was treated to eleven innovative business ideas, ranging from eco-friendly ammonia and next-gen hydrogen chips to high-protein snacks, AI tools for clinical trials, and sustainable packaging solutions.
– UIC Demo Day is a key milestone in the UIC Build business development program. It gives companies the opportunity to craft and test their message with an external audience, and to showcase their innovation to a wider network. It often leads to valuable energy and new connections, says Joacim Brauner, business coach and program lead for UIC Build.
In addition to the audience’s winner, two jury awards were presented:
- Morning Oats tilldelades Best Business Case Morning Oats received the Best Business Case Award for its clear business model and growing market traction.
“I’m proud that we managed to communicate both our product and the vision behind it,” says Erik Ljung, founder.

- Abstract was awarded Best Presentation Award for their strong team performance and engaging pitch.
“This award means a lot to us. We’ve worked hard, and this is truly the result of a team effort,” say Marshall and Elin Cartwright.
