Local Entrepreneurs Developing Innovations

A new measurement system for fishing vessels, an AI fitness coach, a cloud solution for car workshops, a sustainable alternative to plastic, and at-home biomarker analysis through blood tests are just some of the business ideas accepted into UIC’s business development programs this fall. These companies have the potential to improve the world with their innovative ideas.

The Next Generation of Super Entrepreneurs Takes the Next Step with UIC

For the second time this year, the business development programs UIC Startup and UIC Build are being conducted to support individuals with new business ideas on their entrepreneurial journey. The entrepreneurs are in the early stages of development and receive support to ensure their business idea has the potential to succeed, identify their customers, and test the idea with them. They also receive guidance in building a more efficient organization, pitching to investors, and expanding their network.

“Despite being active in different industries, the companies accepted this fall share one common trait: motivated and driven founding teams creating innovative solutions with great potential to transform their industries. With advice from us and our partners, we can provide the support they need to achieve their goals,” says Jessica Mansourati, Business Developer at UIC.

Over three months, the entrepreneurs will learn the essentials of starting and running a business, entirely free of charge. UIC’s programs are designed to support and accelerate the growth of promising startups in various sectors. Participants gain access to business development, individual coaching, funding opportunities, and a valuable network. The program concludes with UIC Demo Day on December 11, an open house event where the companies exhibit their products and services to the public.
