New business ideas get support

UIC Discover gives startups the opportunity to test, validate, and further develop their business ideas with the support of experienced business developers and subject-matter experts. The program is mainly delivered online, allowing participants to engage when it suits their schedule. Along the way, they receive personal coaching from a dedicated business advisor to explore ideas and tackle challenges. Participants are also invited to networking events, in-person workshops, and community gatherings.

— UIC Discover was created to meet entrepreneurs where they are. We often meet people with strong ideas and great potential, but they need flexibility to develop them alongside work, studies, or other responsibilities. By combining a digital program with self-paced assignments, hands-on coaching and access to our network, we help founders focus on what matters most in the early phase – validating the idea and laying the foundation for sustainable growth, says Jessica Mansourati, Business Developer at UIC.

Supporting startups through UIC Discover

Through UIC Discover, entrepreneurs gain not only the tools to sharpen their business ideas, but also access to a strong network of advisors, investors, and fellow startups. The program helps founders take the step from idea to tested business – building clear business models, validating markets, and establishing a solid base for growth.

—  The first Discover batch includes startups working with everything from AI-powered healthcare and research tools to sustainable materials. These founders are curious, skilled, and eager to validate and realize their ideas quickly. It’s inspiring to see such a breadth of knowledge and ambition united by the goal of building truly impactful companies, adds Jessica Mansourati.
