Space company Nobula3D, led by CEO and founder Chunxin Liu, has been awarded this year’s SKAPA Prize in Stockholm County. The company is being recognized for its innovative technology for advanced 3D printing in glass. Since this spring, Nobula3D has also received support for its continued development through the national space incubator ESA BIC Sweden.

The SKAPA Prize recognizes innovative entrepreneurs with strong potential for growth and the ability to contribute to sustainable societal development.
Nobula3D has developed a patented method for 3D printing advanced glass structures with a laser in a single step. The technology enables high precision and greater design freedom while also contributing to more cost-efficient manufacturing. Today, the company offers 3D printers for glass, customized glass filaments, and printing services with applications in areas including space, medtech, optics, and electronics.
“Winning the SKAPA Prize is a proud moment for the whole Nobula3D team. It gives us even more energy as we continue developing technology that can reshape the future of glass manufacturing. Big thanks to UIC for the nomination and to our coach, Joacim, for always supporting us.” says Chunxin Liu, CEO and founder of Nobula3D
Nobula3D was accepted into ESA BIC Sweden this spring, where the company receives support for its continued business development and opportunities to strengthen its position within the international space sector.
Joacim Brauner, Space Lead & Industry Partnerships at UIC, says:
“Through ESA BIC, the company gains access to business coaching, technical expertise, and an international network within the European space sector. It is very exciting to follow Chunxin and the team as they continue their journey, and the SKAPA Award is a wonderful recognition of the potential of both the technology and the company.”
The jury’s motivation for the SKAPA Prize in Stockholm County:
Chunxin Liu – Nobula3D: Chunxin has developed Nobula3D’s patented method for 3D printing advanced glass structures with a laser in a single step, significantly improving precision, design freedom, and cost efficiency. The technology enables next-generation components in microfluidics, optics, and electronics – areas where current manufacturing methods have limitations. With patented technology, industrial validation, and advanced deep tech, Nobula3D has the potential to become a global standard for next-generation manufacturing processes.
