State venture capital firm Saminvest and selected business angels continue to invest in companies meeting the criteria for the UIC Accelerator business development program. Muktar Ahmed assumes responsibility for the angel investment company Linnéa Capital, aiming to strengthen collaboration between prominent business angels, Saminvest, and UIC to support promising innovators and growth companies within the UIC Accelerator.

“Capital access strengthens companies’ financial positions, providing them with even better conditions for success. Through this strategic process, we aim to create a platform for outstanding and sustainable growth companies.”
Following a successful initial period, Muktar Ahmed has taken over as the head of Linnéa Capital. With a background in finance and entrepreneurship, Muktar is prepared to build on the angel investment company’s achievements. Linnéa Capital has become an integral part of UIC’s model, focusing on business development and growth for innovative companies.
“I look forward to the opportunity to work in this role and further develop the impressive network of investors and innovative companies. Our mission is to support promising, innovative companies and create optimal conditions for their growth and impact in society. Business angels in our network gain access to a carefully curated deal flow that undergoes UIC’s process, ensuring quality investment opportunities.”
Linnéa Capital’s strength lies in the combination of competent business angels, capital, and UIC’s proven successful business development support. While UIC manages the angel investment company, it does not take ownership stakes in the companies. Companies accepted into UIC Accelerator are offered an initial investment, and selected business angels then have the opportunity to make follow-on investments alongside Saminvest. Linnéa Capital complements UIC’s model by providing access to financing, with funding coming from the state venture capital firm Saminvest and private business angels.
